What the hell is NASA thinking???

The second I saw that the shuttle Discovery crew were all wearing red shirts I had a bad feeling. I'm an engineer, yet I still don't see why you'd put a finger in the eye of fate like this.

And then the shuttle crew's wake-up call was the original Star Trek theme followed by a pre-recorded message from William Shatner???
