Journal gmhowell's Journal: Thanks Dr. Bob 11

Thanks go out to Dr. Bob. Usually when I'm bored with mod points, I'll go and split them between marking Barbie 'Troll' and 'Insightful'. Or I'll go dump fifteen on pudge. But tonight, Dr. Bob gets five points of mod bombing. If only all quackopractors were modbombed out of business.

Thought it was in there. It highlights when I hover over it, but it's using the same color text and no underlining. Sad.

      • It's one of the things that REALLY irks me - there is no difference between a link and ordinary text, just like ordered and unordered lists are also totally broken.

I think it's their idea of an old game:

"You are in a very badly designed website."
        MOUSE AROUND
        CLICK ON TEXT BOX

      • Okay, looky here:

        <This is your journal> [slashdot.org]

        <This is your journal on drugs> [slashdot.org]

        See a difference?

This is why I use the < > in my journals.. So you know for sure there's a link.

This place is driving me crazy.. You click on a page full of comments to check scores, for instance, and all the damn comments collapse, or expand, depending on what kind of beer you drink, or if you're in nested comments, or something.. So I have to right click the reply button, which makes everything render differently.

  • Lulz. Yeah, that guy's pretty funny.

One of the reasons I stopped trying to be funny on Slashdot was that Funny mods increase your score, but not your karma. The Overrateds that inevitably follow mean a net loss of karma.
