More or less accidentially, I dist-upgraded LMDE to find GNOME3 which I until now avoided (like Unity, for that matter).

Oh, I wish I had switched on my brain before upgrading.

  • I'm happy with Gnome3 extensions for an app menu, and the addition of Docky.

    Not perfect - but reasonable.

      Thanks for the hint to Docky (this eases some pain). Nice sig. CC.

      • Yeah. I tried other docks - some with better applets - but docky remains lightweight, pretty and stable.

        The .sig? Provacative. It's getting a bit trite and misses the subtlety. But? Some people have never thought that way.
