Journal countertrolling's Journal: What a shame 4
Little by little Slashdot continues to remove some of its better functions. I can no longer list all the journals on a single page which used to be, http://slashdot.org/journal.pl?op=list&uid=(user id).. and bit by bit the http://slashdot.org/users.pl is losing its usefulness also. The all important "Edit/Delete journals" isn't there any more... Changing tags is a pain in the ass... Bound to happen, I guess, as the bean counters take it deeper into the abyss. Just can't leave a good thing alone. Probably won't be long before comments will be deleted... That will mark the end

You can still edit/delete them last I looked. There are two cryptic icons to the left of the JE title without even any mouseover hints as to what they do. Obe is edit, one is delete.
They haven't made a single change that makes it better, are they trying to run us all off? Not having the "list" for JEs is especially problematic if you have lots of them and especially if you want to find them.

I can almost understand the twisted logic behind the icons; "it's an international site". But all the content is in English, so that doesn't really apply. They must not have thought of that. Or, it appears, given much thought at all to anything except "hey this sounds cool".
That's the trouble with youth, always chasing "cool" when in reality, chasing cool is uncool.
