FortKnox's Journal: Holy Sh*t!

OK, after writing this comment. 5 of my comments from days ago got moderated down. Talk about getting bitchslapped. So much for free speech.
Sure, its "their" site, but these are the people that bring you YRO, and have a moderation system for the public to use.

I consider this proof of authors having unlimited mod points (or a buncha trolls moderatorating? Ackam's Razor!). Authors having unlimited mod points destroys the idea of a community moderation system. Its just a "Lazy Tyrant" system, now.

Addendum: Now its -13 moderations +2. Wow, someone hates me!

Those are some strong words from someone posting AC. And don't give me that "I'm to lazy to log in, it doesn't have anything to do with me being afraid to be identified with my comments" BS. They are called cookies, read up on them. Besides how long does it take to type in, it's right there!

At lease FortKnox has the guts to take credit for his comments. And I happen to agree with him. I know some other people who were "whiners", too. We called them the founding fathers. This country (USA) was based on people who bitched because they didn't like the system and complained to try to change it for the better. When they were not heard, they formed their own government. Everytime someone posts something negative on /. someone mods them down (authors or yes men?) and then posts AC about how /. is so great and everyone that doesn't like it the way it is and everything about it and want to kiss JonKatz is a facist nazi communist devil worshipper.

I can't speak for FortKnox, but evertime I post something negative about /., I'm hoping that someone will notice, agree, and make a difference. But all I ever get is some gutless wonder posting AC telling me that I'm stupid because I don't blindly accept whatever is put before me.

That's why I have ACs blocked. But I knew before I clicked on the replys button in FortKnox's journal it would say 1 reply below your threshold. I knew it would be an AC bashing FortKnox for trying to improve this place. But I thought I would read it just to feel better about myself, to realize that I've succeeded in life just by being able to form my own opinions, and not having to rely on what other people tell me to think and feel. But you AC, whoever you are, go ahead and let other people tell you what to think. Don't ever have an original thought. Be a yes man. I heard ignorance is bliss, but instead of taking it at face value like you did, I formed my own opinion... Knowledge is better.

Missing journal functionality

I've posted this [slashdot.org] and am wondering about where those features are. I just recently discovered that you can lookup fans of your journal, but that still isn't anywhere close to what slashcode has (sigh).
