FortKnox's Journal: Tonight, I play with 3D!

After this article, and this comment, I think I'm going to d/l Blender to my home PC and see what I can do with it.
I'm not very artistic, in the "drawing" sense. I am (well, was. Been about 3 years) a great trumpet player, but I'm very mathematical, so maybe I'll be able to animate something. I'll give out opinions and such tomorrow.

It is true that the interface is difficult to figure out, I suggest you have the tutorial pages on-hand to figure stuff out, but once you get they keys down its a breeze. I've not done anything super-complex with it, but for a piece of free software I am very impressed. (Not that I've used any other rendering software.)
