The reason why I want to never register as a Democrat

Four planes attack buildings in our nation, with three of them being successful. Thousands die in the attack. Our military experiences a surge in volunteers to âoego punish the bastards that did thisâ.

Drones attack villages in Afghanistan, killing innocent people. Their people respond by taking up arms to âoego punish the bastards that did thisâ.

And we act surprised that they hate us for the same reasons we hate them. Go figure.

And it's not even the right (1)

"Them".

Very correct as well. BTW, I found this in a conservative Catholic Blog where the conclusion is that we can't vote for either Romney or Obama. Know any pro-life, anti-war, anti-torture, pro-poor candidates I can vote for? Because right now, I got bupkis.

If you did ID such, would they want to be Caesar for 4 years? Would you want them to?

That's the question. Who do you think should be satanic vice-regent?

Really, I feel I shouldn't be involved in the answering.

I would think if they were running, it's because they want to be Ceaser. And since I believe Ceaser should be subservient to God rather than to Satan, I would vote for them.

But like I said, when it comes to somebody HONESTLY following the RIGHT way, I don't have anybody. Closest too, but still flawed, dropped out of the race before I could vote for him (my theory is that the drug companies that like Romney better threatened his daughter's life).

yeah, and after over 10 years, that's still all we know so far.

When you say 'they', you tend to mean people empowered by fueling hatred against 'us'.
Insofar as we improved the security situation, built roads, drilled wells, taught basic skills like drip irrigation, and paid Afghans money for work, we got along with them just fine.
You can put us and them on a Venn diagram. The overlap is _substantial_. The disjoint bits, while small, unfortunately drive most of the discussion.

The disjoint bits are the ones that make drone war evil. The original comment came from a blog entitled "Begun this drone war has". Soldiers, being human, are willing to "improved the security situation, built roads, drilled wells, taught basic skills like drip irrigation, and paid Afghans money for work"; Drones just kill random people that we think might be bad from the sky.

Getting into the relative evil of this vs. that in war is kinda murky.
I've read (Thucydides?) that bows were assailed as somehow unseemly when initially popularized.

And to somebody who believed in Augustinian Just War theory, the bow is incredibly dishonorable, because it defeats the idea of "You should look a man in the eyes when you kill him, to acknowledge his humanity and show love for your enemy". Few to no people in war today are given that simple dignity. the drone war is at the rock bottom of a very long and slippery slope.

War is hyper-pragmatic.
The Law of Armed Conflict is a mighty thin veneer over the naked evil of the human heart.
But for the Holy Spirit's restraint, humanity would sink below the animal level.

But for the Holy Spirit's restraint...

"Look here brother - who you Jiving with that cosmik debris?"

What does it have to do with being a democrat? (1)

The drones were not invented by democrats. They were used when George W Bush was in office, as well. Both presidents have done a very thorough job of pissing off "them". The previous guy just had a better PR team.
