I lack the requisite megalomania, money, mob, and mendacity to run for office.
My wife's not supportive, my son is 15 months old, and my federalist platform is too conservative for the GOP.
My local GOP candidate, Patrick Murray, lost 1:2 against Jim Moran
Even Fairfax County politics is an absolute ball-room brawl.
What I bring to politics is some technical skills, leadership experience, and patience to the role of supporter.

Pity. His disgrace came, not from conducting military operations against civilian populations or spying on his own citizens, but from simple acts of coitus.

This wasn't discovered yesterday - and would have been hushed, were it necessary for the right people to have it so.
He's pretty clearly being taken off the chessboard.
That said? He could run, as "disaster-proofed". The worst has already happened. But that could only work as a Democrat - or a televangelist.

- stating that he'd reveal the truth of Benghazi as it unrolled,
- pressure being applied for Petraeus to sell his soul for rock'n'roll, and
- Petraeus clinging bitterly to vanquished notions of truth and honor, even in the midst of personal disgrace.
Or not--that's pure speculation.
No matter what Petraeus reveals about the missing 18 1/2 minutes of White House tape, BHO is not a crook, and he's not going to go down over this burglary.

What "bias"? The people are distracted and divided by meaningless drivel while the system remains unscathed. The media is serving its purpose very admirably. It would make Goebbels cry tears of joy.
One minor point, if you want to compare Benghazi to something, make it: Benghazi = Iran/Contra. Both were weapons smuggling schemes worthy of life sentences for the perps. The point is that there was no body count for Watergate, yet the press crucified Nixon.

They had to, before anybody important got snared in the trap. It's how to put a quick stop to an investigation. It happens all the time on a local level when the cops are after a particular, usually innocent, target.
