[shahd-n-froi-duh] noun
see "General David Petraeus"

I have heard multiple "serious media commentators" refer to this unfolding of events as resembling something like "a Greek tragedy".

I am put more in mind of an Italian sex-farce. Like they used to make when Loren and Lollobrigida were at peak.

Now we will have to be merely content, whilst awaiting the Flynt Production: "This is Not Centcom!"

This is not even kind of a Greek tragedy (1)

It hardly qualifies as a cross between Jerry Springer and a mummer's farce.

Are you sure you didn't misspell (1)

Heh.

"All In".

I my wife wrote a book, about another man, with that title? I think I'd be more than a little... suspicious.

Burn after reading (1)

This story most resembles a Coen Brothers screwball comedy:

"So what did we learn, Palmer?"

"I don't know sir"

"I don't fucking know either... Maybe not to do it again?"

It was the FBI agent sexting shirtless pictures of himself to the hot next-door neighbor who happens to have thousands of pages of classified documents on her home computer.

The partisan in me wants to note that not one single person involved in this scandal is a Democrat. It's a Republican-only affair, by all appearances.
