This is utterly off-topic, but every time I see your sig, I am reminded of the fact that the Swedish word for "glasses" or "spectacles" is glasögon, which is, literally, "glasseyes".

The language is full of idioms that sounds remarkably like English archaisms, such as Jag har hört talas av att..., which is, literally, "I heard [being] told of that" which is very like the "I heard tell [of] that..." that one hears a lot amongst older folk in and around the Blue Ridge where most of my family come fro
