Journal chill's Journal: Science Confirms Comic 1
A month or two ago The Oatmeal published a comic titled How much do cats actually kill? It is funny, but emphasizes that little fluffy is a sociopathic killing machine.
Today science caught up with comic as the New York Times published an article titled That Cuddly Kitty Is Deadlier Than You Think.
Same conclusion, bigger words, less kitty-stares-of-death.
Some people say cats play with their food. I always thought it was the other way around -- they eat their toys.
They're useful because of their violence (Score:2)
Before my second daughter was born, we were poor and moved in to a tiny "shotgun house" right next to a railroad track; the place was infested with mice.
Every morning when I got up there was a dead mouse laid next to my breakfast chair, with the proud kitty beaming her pleasure at killing the rodent.
Have a mouse problem? Get a cat, problem solved. Much more useful than a four-legged doorbell that is a dog. And, BTW, dogs and cats will both kill members of their own species.
