Need more options. (1)

checkyoulater (246565) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824664)

I would like to add a fifth option:

e) Tattooed, Pierced, Dyed hair, etc.

Re:Need more options. (1)

FortKnox (169099) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824736)

Its a question of the shape of a woman. If you could pick a woman (all of which are tattoed up, dyed hair, etc...) one being pencil thin, one average, one curvy, and one obese, which would you choose?

Re:Need more options. (1)

checkyoulater (246565) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824809)

OK, then. I choose option C. Curvy.

Re:Need more options. (1)

subgeek (263292) | more than 11 years ago | (#5831021)

i like real body parts, but for some reason i'm a sucker for fake hair.

A, B & C.
I haven't tried to systematically define what kind of women I find attractive or anything, but there are a lot of other factors involved.

Good question. (0)

Fashion TV (1)

MonTemplar (174120) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824715)

We get this on our cable package (NTL), and I was watching it with my parents for a bit last night, just to see what it was like. Wall-to-wall fashion models - like watching music videos on MTV, but with the 'artist' keeping their mouth shut (for the most part) and no fancy dance moves. Plenty of A's in evidence, as you'd expect. And I now know why they get called clothes-horses - they actually trot up and down the catwalk, even the blokes. Only good part (as far as my Mum was concerned) was some guy modelling lycra underpants (probably Jean-Paul Gaultier) which give a full view of his buns.

As for the poll, I'd say B or C.

Re:Fashion TV (1)

Otter (3800) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824820)

For me, somewhere on the C-side of B. You should have linked to some photos so we'd know how your scale is calibrated.

I don't know any heterosexual guy who genuinely prefers skinny women, and obvious implants are an absolute deal-breaker for me. Can't imagine how any man finds enormous, hard stripper implants appealing. I did once run into a bust that seemed a little too good to be true, especially on a Korean, but decided I could live with a little doubt. ;-)

Curvy != Chubby (1)

leviramsey (248057) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824763)

If there wasn't the chubby implication in there, I'd say "curvy". I'll say 50% between B and C is ideal. Oh yeah, and it's gotta be real...

Depends upon ethnicity... (1)

Xerithane (13482) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824864)

Asian, gotta go with A. I've yet to see an Asian that actually looks better compared to American average (Asian average is A...) Read OG's journal [] for more info.

For European/American, I think Average to Curvy. A non-Asian that weighs 100lbs at 5'6 looks sick, where an Asian girl can pull it off just fine. My girlfriend (who would kill me if I post her actual stats) looks freaking fantastic. Curves without over-doing it. Put her same stats on a non-Asian, and they would look anorexic... dunno how that figures out.

Anorexia (1)

aWalrus (239802) | more than 11 years ago | (#5824953)

I think it's interesting that most guys prefer their women somewhat curvy. This actually means that, were we to meet a supermodel in real life, we probably would be disappointed (Skinny as a toothpick).

One of the factors that contribute to Anorexia is the proliferation of these "skinny as hell" top models (cases of the disease were fewer before the "fashion boom" that prompted this image of the ideal woman). Sad thing is, anorexic girls (it's extremely rare in men) are usually quite intelligent (above average) and yet, they cannot get themselves to actually understand that being that skinny is not attractive.

It is a lot more complicated than that, I know, but this is a big part of the picture.

And for me: curvy. Sometimes even somewhat chubby, due to a long relationship with an anorexic girl. Skinny girls freak me out at first, unless I find out they are actually that skinny because of genetics.

between toothpick and average (1)

other restrictions: no unusual piercings (ie, ears only), no tatoos, and no smokers.

Ah...uhm... that link was me (1)

jawtheshark (198669) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825034)

So everybody already knows my answer: C!

Besides, don't we need an option E) "I'm a slashdot user, I don't know what a woman is"?

C all the way (1)

Servo (9177) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825221)

Actually a mix of C and the previous E answer as well.

Chubby/Curvy + lots of tattoos and piercings.

Re:C all the way (1)

checkyoulater (246565) | more than 11 years ago | (#5826132)

Good to know I'm not alone here!

Curvy (1)

AntiFreeze (31247) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825373)

But curvy doesn't mean chubby. I've seen Athletic girls with great curves... the right combination of muscle and body fat goes a _long_ way!

Definately Curvy. Without a doubt.

B not accurate (1)

gmhowell (26755) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825443)

Curvy does not imply chubby. Or vice versa. YOu've fallen into the media trap. Curvy, yes. It gives me a chubby.

Fake vs. real? Anything I can get my hands on.

Curvy (1)

einstein (10761) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825475)

definitely curvy. I wouldn't call my fiance chubby though, but she's got curves everywhere they're supposed to be!

2 weeks until she's done w/ school and back home! wee!

Erm, B, I think. (1)

SamTheButcher (574069) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825663)

I mean, I don't like 'em stick-thin, and I don't like the bouncy-bouncy either. I do like curvy, tho, so, whatever.

And real. It was funny, I had a friend tell me that I liked implants once. I said, no, don't really care for that "Pam-Anderson-enhanced" look and he got pissed: "Yes you do! Every guy likes that!". Um, no. I don't. I like real. But, I'm also not much of a "chest" guy, more interested in a nicely-done posterior. To be ever-so PolCor about it.

Re:Erm, B, I think. (1)

FortKnox (169099) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825728)

That's funny. I thought a butcher would like-em meaty!! ;-)

Re:Erm, B, I think. (1)

SamTheButcher (574069) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825848)

Now that's funny! I never even thought about using butcher terms to describe it, but I guess women are "objectified" enough. That would go over the edge a bit for me. (Half expecting GMontag to enter with a rant here)

I'm extremely pleased with my "Alice the Maid", let's just say that. :)

Re:Erm, B, I think. (1)

jawtheshark (198669) | more than 11 years ago | (#5830046)

I like em real too... Real big ;-)
No seriously, gotta look real otherwhise it turns me off. Luckily (or not, since I have a girlfriend), implants are not a european tendency.

Apart from that... I'm really sold on eyes. If she's got pretty eyes, I'm toast. :-P

Thin as a toothpick (1)

bmetzler (12546) | more than 11 years ago | (#5825885)

And short. And not pierced, tattoed, or otherwise marred. And real, 100% genuine. That's the type for me :)

Eye of the Beholder (1)

Foochar (129133) | more than 11 years ago | (#5826604)

I'd have to say I lean towards B and A.

However, as someone mentioned before examples would be helpful, as one man's chubby may be another man's average. For example where in the spectrum do Liv Tyler (Armagedon, The Lord of the Rings)or Joey Lauren Adams (Chasing Amy) fall. I think they are average, but to some they may fall on the chubby side. What about Cameron Diaz (Charlies Angels)? In my opinion she would be classified as thin as a stick, but that doesn't mean that I don't find her atractive.

As far as the bonus goes, I would have to say that prefer natural beauty over purchased beauty. This extends betyond the curves to the whole package. I'd much rather spend time with a woman who is comfortable enough with herself to be able to leave the house without spending a lot of time putting on her face. I'm not anti-makeup, but there is something to be said for accentuating the positive and minimizing the negatives rather than trying to remake what you have been given.

I'd have to say (1)

Xaoswolf (524554) | more than 11 years ago | (#5827503)

A B or C, as long as it all looks good on the girl, and nothing is really sagging or drooping, then it's all good.

easy (1)

Red Warrior (637634) | more than 11 years ago | (#5828442)

Bonus question even easier: Yes.

umm... (1)

kormoc (122955) | more than 11 years ago | (#5828961)

I like curves with a good, trim body, but not a toothpick one. The curves have to be right :)

And it MUST be real, my god, fake is sooo... fake :)

Good poll, dude. (1)

Raptor CK (10482) | more than 11 years ago | (#5829459)

Maybe not chubby, but it's all about the curves. I can't imagine being with a girl who looks... underdeveloped. the jailbait thing just doesn't work for me.

As for the bonus: I prefer real, but I can settle, as long as she's got something up top.

One from each (1)

baldass_newbie (136609) | more than 11 years ago | (#5830081)

Better yet, 2 @ A, 3 @ B, 2 @ C and 1 D, just for kicks.
And fake to look at, real to work with.

B, I guess. (1)

eugene ts wong (231154) | more than 11 years ago | (#5830498)

I don't want her to work out till she has no more breasts, but I'd like her to be healthy. I don't want her to pig out, @ the same time, I don't want her to have to avoid a dish because she's on a diet.

It's tough to say. I think that as long as she is willing to gently exercise she'll turn out just right.

tall (1)

subgeek (263292) | more than 11 years ago | (#5831007)

average/athletic and tall. while fake will make me look, real is better at any size.

i've actually found that women are endlessly fascinating in a wide variety of shapes and sizes. but i usually seem to end up with tall average/athletic ones, so i guess there is probably something to that. of course, it's been quite some time since i've been in the market. i've been with the tall average/athletic one i'm with now for seven years. we are getting married in 3 months. lucky for me, she understands that men like to browse for things they have no intention of purchasing.

C - And real of course. (1)

arb (452787) | more than 11 years ago | (#5839357)

The women I have tended to fall for have mostly been short with curves. There are exceptions to this rule though, but there is a clear trend. Ditto with the real/fake - I prefer real, however I have known some women who have had excellent surgeons! However, no matter how good they look, the feel is still not quite right...
