Monday I learned that the job I thought I might get at Intel went to someone else. First real interview since I was laid off in May 2001, too.

Today I went to my stepmother's mother's funeral. The older woman had been living in a nursing home for the last several years, suffering from exteme senility (she was barely aware of her surroundings), so her death was a release & not a loss.
