Do you really think it matters? We're already paying for it when we buy cd-rs, and no matter how many people pay if the RIAA can get more money(including from the government) you know they will.

Get a clue. The reason the government gives hand outs to farmers/automobile manufacturers/etc is because their businesses are vital to the health of our economy.

The recording industry is not and never has been an integral part of our economy. For them it is sink or swim. Right now, they're sinking.

Look, we can buy our food from overseas, imported food is just fine, and its cheaper, so why do we need farming subsidies?

Also most farming subsidies do not usually go to poor farmers, they go to rich farmers. Its corperate welfare, its socialism.

America can and does produce and sell food more efficiently than anyplace in the world or anytime in history.
America Food is also the most expensive. Its cheaper for us the consumer to buy imported food.
