Journal FortKnox's Journal: Football: Week 2 10
I know you have been waiting for these, especially after my abismal 9-6 ranking last week. Well, lets go down the line:
Bills vs Jags: After last week, its just hard to go against Bledsoe's Bunch. Buffalo by 7
Browns vs Ravens: The Browns D looks to be a little better than what I originally thought (but that isn't saying much), and the Ravens D is exactly as good as I though (which is bad). Looking at the O's, I have to go with Cleveland on this one. Cleveland by 7
Lions vs Packers: The Pack lost 3 recievers, but brought Mr.Antonio Freeman back. Expect to see big things his way this game. However, the Pack need more games to get back into a groove. High scoring game! Lions by 3
Texans vs Saints: Saints played pitiful last week. The Texans surprised the world. But it was week one, the Saints want revenge, and have seen the defensive schemes of Houston. The running game will be stale for the Saints, but Brooks will come through with his two recievers. Saints by 5
Dolphins vs Jets: Dolphins are out for blood this week. The Jets have a pretty good line, and if they can get the offense going, could spill the end of Wahnnsteid. But I still think he isn't dumb enough to not just keep feeding to Ricky. Miami by 4
Steelers vs Chiefs: The Chefs have a superb O-Line, and the best running attack in the NFL. The Steelers are traditional run stoppers, and the 3-4 gives O-Lines headaches. Traditionally, running teams can't "come from behind" so if Maddox has a similar performance like last week, its all in the bag. If it comes down to Green vs Maddox, the Steelers make a killing (just look at the recievers). Pittsburgh by 3
49ers vs Rams: The 49ers look better than I expected, but Bulger can be underestimated. Bluger means solid pass attack and more Faulk. I like the Rams in this matchup. St Louis by 7
Titans vs Colts: The Colts are going down hill. Dungy has better the defense in exchange for killing the offense. McNair is going to have a great game. Tennessee by 7
Skins vs Falcons: If Vick was in the game, I'd almost give this one to the Falcons. But he isn't, Price is ineffective in double teams, Finneran is out. The Skins O is rolling, and D is stifling. Washington by 10
Panthers vs Bucs: Vegas is making the Bucs 9.5 point favorites. 9.5?!?! I'd take those points anyday. The Panthers have a very solid D, as does Tampa Bay. The O's can be effective, but this will be a defense vs running, low score game. But I still give it to the Bucs for the better kicker and D. Low score bore-game. Bucs by 3
Seahawks vs Cards: Tough choice. Cards have 4 of their rookie recievers injured. Their bag of tricks is already open. They enjoyed a single win. Seattle by 10
Bengals vs Raiders: The Bengals will improve upon their terrible first game. Unfortunately, they are pretty much out of the next two games. Oakland this week, Pittsburgh next. Oakland by 7
Broncos vs Chargers: Plummer must be happy he's not in his home crowd. The bolts have a young secondary, but Plummer can't play like he did last week. Place your bets. Who will run better, Portis or Tomlinson? Bolts by 3
Pats vs Eagles: Both had disappointing starts. But the Eagles are at home and want their first win for the new stadium. Philly by 3
Bears vs Vikings: The Vikings showed some serious game vs the Packers. They did the same thing last year when they were terrible. Unfortunately the bears are terrible, also. But Stewarts mobility may be the answer for a bears win. Spoiler of the week! Bears by 1
Cowboys vs Giants: The Giants are going to man-handle the 'boys offense, but there is a mobile QB, so it shouldn't be a complete blowout. Giants by 14
Bills vs Jags: After last week, its just hard to go against Bledsoe's Bunch. Buffalo by 7

Puhlease. Randy Moss is going to have a field day on the Bears D.
Not because the D is not good, but because the offense is so bad. The Bears are going nowhere this year on offense, causing the D to be on the field for 40 minutes + a game. They get tired. Mike Brown won't be able to cover the whole field.
I look to see the Bears losing by atleast 21 points. It pains me something fierce to say this, but Minn has WA

LAst I heard it was a conspiracy theory that the GM was hiring bad talent and releasing good talent to get rid of Jauron.
Anywho, Kordell DOES have good games (especially on his feet) around the beginning of the season. It helps to get the crowd's hopes up so he can crush them next week.
The Vikings had MORE talent last year (like a running game), but still did terrible. So don't count your bears out just yet.

I watched most of the game last week. The 49ers looked like they were playing a highschool team--a high school team of midgets on donkeys.
Kordell just flat out sucked. He over/underthrew at least 10 passes I saw. Soon enough he will lose the faith of his receivers and when that occurs, games are over. I have about as much faith in Kordell as I do in me winning Man of the Year award at a Lesbian Convention.
No, I'm not bitter.
I seriously think with some good talent, Jauro

I think that if it gets to passing, they'll put in the new nickel defense and double up on washingtons side with a safety.
