Okay, so my occasional slashcomment is modded as "funny" or "insightful" often enough to give me good karma (for what ever that is worth). So how come there are hardly any "Fans" out there.

Thank goodness, one of my friends actually lets me know that at least there is someone as crazy as I am out there. You know who you are.

Anyway, short of being a girl, how does one become famous on slashdot? Any Ideas? Bueller? Bueller?

On a sad note, one of my favorite musical artists died last night. Tonight, I will walk the line one last time.

  • Well, I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I can get you started...

    You can't lurk on the JEs -- you gotta post. And while you post in others' JEs, you also gotta write your own. And it can't just be about /. stuff -- it has to come from your own life. You need to tell about your ideas, your stories, adventures, whatever. It doesn't have to be terribly exotic, or even terribly revealing (I mean, other than Em has a *real* problem with anger, is about to get married, and is considering taking a promotion,

      My life is BORING. I am married, with 3 kiddos, completely monogomous, straight and .... GASP Believe in a god.

      I am also quite intellegent, funny when I want to be, intensly competative, slightly ADD.

      I am a geek, but not quite an UBER one. I drink fine wine, love to cook, read more than I watch TV.

      Outside of slashdot, I think I have very little appeal to the Slashdot crowd. Perhaps I am wrong.

        Whose life could be more boring than mine? That of a housewife in the country and mother to a preschooler?

        Strip away the double entendres and the liberal application of profanity, and that's all you've got. Trust me, *nobody's* interesting to themselves. You just gotta dive in and go with the flow.

        Here's an idea -- post a recipe that you enjoy cooking, and annotate it with tips & tricks you've learned. Add in your fav
