I'd like to shake the hand of the genius that came up with that idea. I've never really had good tacos, but I tried making them last night... wow! I could probably eat 20 of em.
Ground beef, cheese, tomato, lettuce and some other stuff. Cook it or something then mix together and eat.

Most Americans (North, not Central :) think of tacos as hamburg and spices in a hard corn shell, plus cheese, tomatos, lettuce, salsa, etc. Strictly speaking, though "taco" is simply a "sandwhich".
I prefer fresh corn tortillas. I make them myself from masa harina, water, salt, and corn oil, and a tortilla press.
For meat, I cook chicken or beef pieces, and add salt, cayanne pepper, paprika, garlic, coriander, cumin powder, corn starch, and water (or beef/chicken broth).

I've done this several times and fooled everyone, and I enjoy it myself.
Granted I lather on the non-reduced fat sour cream and use real good cheese and such, I'm not a hippie freako or something.
