The booklet explicitly urges foes of the Second Amendment to abjure rationality in favor of the argumentum ad passiones, or appeal to emotion. "When talking to broader audiences, we want to meet them where they are," the authors advise. "That means emphasizing emotion over policy prescriptions, keeping our facts and our case simple and direct, and avoiding arguments that leave people thinking they don't know enough about the topic to weigh in."

If the goal is to generate abiding contempt for all things Lefty, then I must say these clowns succeed.

    BTW, I'd just like to point out that just about all countries except the US seem to get along quite well without having a gun in every pot.

    As for mine, I know that I feel *much* safer walking the streets at night in Europe, Australia, or China than in the US.

      It is certainly the case that you can SELECT, FROM, and WHERE the data to make this assertion appear true.
      But, when I just don't believe you're arguing in a forthright manner in the first place, "What difference, at this point, does it make?"

      I know that I feel *much* safer walking the streets at night in Europe, Australia, or China than in the US.

      Truth is the safest places in the US coincide with high rates of civilian firearm ownership, and the same is true everywhere I can find reliable statistics to examine the question with. (For instance, Sweden is one of the safest places in Europe, and also has a very high rate of legal civilian firearms ownership.)

      The US is only particularly violent in comparison with Europe when you consider our 'war on drugs' insanity, and it is worst in the places that have effectively outlawed civilian firearm ownership

      • Again, the issue isn't the 2nd Amendment. Rather, the deliberate, anti-intellectual propaganda assault.
        Somehow I doubt this kind of material is a black swan, not to get all Alex Jones about it.
        But this reinforces my default assertion that Lefties just don't argue in good faith.
