does anyone know if tor is standard on ubuntu?

  • Or install the .deb for Vidalia, which is a worthwhile console...

  • As far as I know there is nothing special about low PIDs. They get assigned sequentially. For more detail, see the wikipedia article [wikipedia.org]. Now, if you didn't install it, then I'd be worried. I can't say for the latest versions, but on my 12.04 LTS (work laptop), this is what I get when grepping processes on the string "tor".
