Why is the Obamacare Rollout Failing?
Why, itâ(TM)s obviously because President Barack Obama and his top aides hate government, and therefore canâ(TM)t be trusted to run a major government program. When the government is run by political forces committed to the belief that government is always the problem, never the solution, that belief tends to become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Key priorities are neglected; key functions are privatized; and key people, the competent public servants who make government work, either leave or are driven out. What we really need is a government that works, because itâ(TM)s run by people who understand that sometimes government is the solution, after all.

Read the whole thing, which evolves into a poke at that rodeo Eclownomist, Paul Krugman.
For my humor-impaired buddy, damn_registrars.

Something to consider (0)

Anonymous Coward | about a year ago | (#45221747)

You pay a lot of attention and invest a lot of thought into what idiots and scummy people do. It's like you wallow in it, much as a pig wallows in slop. You seem to be fascinated by what the losers, the schemers, the evil-doers, the liars, the cheats, the hypocrites of the world do. That can't be healthy, to steep yourself in such filth so completely and so regularly.

Just something to think about.

I also spend a lot of time in church, praying that the Holy Spirit cleanse this evil.
But that doesn't show up on /.

You'll be just as effective to throw up the Bat Signal.

The Almighty still loves you, but love tends to be rough on not-love.
Thus, repentance.

The "Almighty" does not love, or forgive. It feeds the big and strong by consuming the small and weak. It is absolutely un-particular. Nature... Whether you know it, or not, that is the path you are on, along with everybody and everything else.

YAWN. Didn't we already play that tune where I can't figure out how hyper-materialism ends up anywhere other than nihilism?

Yes, and you yet to prove there has to be purpose, or that man can't create one of his own, for himself or others, as he sees fit. You are still simply trying to anthropomorphize the laws of physics and nature.

Sorry, I haven't been able to make the faith-leap that those laws emerged ex nihilo. But, even accepting foolishness briefly for the sake of discussion, society itself, by definition, tries to adhere to order. That is, if you truly believe life meaningless, then stringing together sentences on a website seems the height of "why bother?".

"why bother?"

Because it's in our nature, you big dummy! We can do things just because.. Get out of your box... We create the purpose. We create the spirit. What we don't have, we can make.

So you're saying humanity created the universe, and not the bottom turtle? Heretic!
