Here we go. He thought he'd be cool and log into my site, create an ID, and start pagewidening/trolling.

Don't worry, the abuse@iei.net have already been notified.

Anyone else wanna to email them? I'm sure you can point something out to them that he's done that'd be considered abuse! Here we go. He thought he'd be cool and log into my site, create an ID, and start pagewidening/trolling.

In *many* cases, port scans constitute a breach of TOS. They may be LEGAL per se, but that doesn't mean the TOS or AUP tolerates them. I hope you brought a hat if you're going to be throwing shit. It tends to splatter.

Dear Mr. Abuse, (-1)

Sexual Asspussy (453406) | more than 12 years ago | (#3078540)

A user who calls himself "CmderTaco" set up an account on my two-bit blog and posted in a way which I do not like. His connections came from 209.131.197.26, an IP which resolves to your domain. As page-widening posts violate neither your terms of service nor US law, I demand that you remove CmderTaco's account immediately, involving local and federal law enforcement authorities if at all possible.

Thank you,

FortKnox

Devastating.

Abuse of the net Vs. Abuse of the net (0)

The Turd Report (527733) | more than 12 years ago | (#3084895)

I work for the abuse department of a rather large provider. My department would not act on this complaint. Abuse departments deal with abuse of the net, not abuse on the net. Complaints about mean people on weblogs get the same treatment as IRC disputes, they are closed with out intervention. Most of these complaints are along the lines of: "Some guy on #luser called me a poopy-head. Make him stop."

You are a poopy-head (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 12 years ago | (#3107161)

don't ever stop!

you need a color adjustment on your site... (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 12 years ago | (#3078597)

opening up a story using the default color scheme gives me black text on a dark purple background in the title of the article. the main home page lists titles in white on purple. fix it!!

Nice try... (-1)

CmderTaco (533794) | more than 12 years ago | (#3079046)

but that is not my IP... Do you think I would really be stupid enough to post to your site using my own IP address and just give you all of that power over me? Nah...

Take my word, I have trolled you once. I will not be back... the site sucked anyway.

Re:Nice try... (1)

wholesomegrits (155981) | more than 12 years ago | (#3099709)

Exactly. Better tell the boys at the crime lab they'll need to work late cracking this case...Pretty fucking amateur detective work. As if there is only one person in the world with the ability to masquerade as CmderTaco and troll. I gotta say, it doesn't look good for you Taco, but it's not conclusive in the least, and this petty little pissing match is the very defination of Feeding the Trolls. My god, what a perfect specimen.

not me (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 12 years ago | (#3079737)

I'm the AC with all the .posts and believe me, I am not a typical troll. I just got annoyed at your ego and your karma whorings and so I wided a buncha pagez. Go read here [slashdot.org] where I decided to stop page widening and decided that I had gone too far. Funny that you have multiple people widening your pages though. And this is me, FortKnot. If you want proof I can login and post with it, but I dont really feel like it at the moment.

Re:not me (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 12 years ago | (#3082682)

knoxy arent u gonna reply to me? i know u read at -1. i apologized for going too far in the other page too and i havent been widening your pages. i would kindly like a response. thanxez.

Just one question for the author (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 12 years ago | (#3082854)

As a rather prolific troll yourself (at least when you're on Slashdot), how does it feel to be on the other side of the barrel for once?

Re:Just one question for the author (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 12 years ago | (#3084110)

Know the difference between trolling and crapflooding, then reword your question.

Re:Just one question for the author (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 12 years ago | (#3085068)

There is no difference. Crapflooders are merely a lesser form of troll.
