If it shows up in my messages, I do read it. I just happen to read at least a dozen journals a day, so I don't always reply to them.
I will try to read your Livejournal, however, and I have bookmarked it.

Ummm, yeah.
I read about 90% of the JEs I get messages about. Those that look obvoiusly uninteresting I don't even open and several I being to read and then scan to see if there's anything good. I don't post unless I've got something to say - all too often someone tries to make a point and there's nothing I could possibly say: they hit it all as good or better than I ever could, and I don't think a sea of "You're right!" helps any discussion. I will likely setup a script at some point that will take what is posted on LiveJournal and post it here - setup a cron job that looks every day at some point (or multiple times?) to see if Livejournal has something newer than what it last saw.
If so, grab it, and then post it as an authenticated user on Slashdot.
I am currently using a program called XJournal to post up to LiveJournal - if it is open source it might be worthwhile to see if I could a
