toygeek's Journal: It should hurt to be stupid

Every so often someone comes along and instead of just following suit, as many do, they really raise the bar. Forrest Gump said "stupid is as stupid does, Sir." Well these people get all creative and make Forrest Gump look like a Professor of Sociology.

Now, you might wonder, what could possibly be the problem? Is it stupidity? Sometimes. Is it ignorance? Sometimes. Is it lack of education? Sometimes. But when these people speak, and show their true colors, we can see that there is a common theme in all of their meanderings. And that brings us to our next subject.

Internet Retardation

Internet retardation can be defined as "the inability to learn, show common sense, breath without direct instruction, to remain ignorant by choice and design."

Now how could a person come to this, such a deplorable state? In the industry it is commonly referred to as "SOL" but you know it as AOL.

In the movie "As Good as it Gets", Jack Nicholson, playing the socially inept author Melvin Udall, is asked by a receptionist: "How do you write women so well?" "Easy. I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability."

And now you understand why AOL users are the way they are. I was recently asked "Toygeek, how do you understand AOL users so well?" I replied "Easy. I think of a normal person, and I take away reason and accountability."

Hopefully through this short discussion, you will have a better understanding of the internet in general. And when an AOL user asks for your screen name so they can email you, slap them up side the head. If they ask why you did that, explain that you read online how smacking AOL users in beneficial for your health. They will understand. After all, if its on the Internet, it MUST be true.
