  • If you've got a problem with that -- TOUGH! I ain't going nowhere.

    I may comment on the Patent thing at some point, however I'm so tired of the whole deal I've become mighty apathetic about the whole thing.

    You have good ideas, but as you've already pointed out, there's vested interest, and vested power in keeping the status quo.

    Big business likes the idea of the submarine patent, as that gameplan can represent a lot of money. Reforms like what you have suggested would be the equivalent of highly acc
  • If there's anything to be learned from the history of Linux and in particular groklaw, is that a dedicated body of interested people CAN affect change in the age of the Internet.

    A dedicated body of patent fighters who's goals is not to sabotage the patent process itself, but to protect the patent process from being coopted by big business, and little people with "patently obvious" ideas from extorting the country with things like the "one click patent".
