I like when Tapper points out that O had used the Espionage Act more than all previous Presidents combined.
Just hold before yourself the ultimate truth that W is the real villain, or something.

W... for Wilson, right? Because the only thing George did wrong was act like his successor!

Wilson was the 1st Fascist American President. Franklin Roosevelt the 2nd, Lyndon Johnson the 3rd, and Barack Obama is the 4th. Hillary will be the 5th.

So do you think she was 'rooked' in 2008, or is the Barack/Hillary duo a bad cop/good cop play?
I tend to think not. These sorts of egos are all about the jugular, but Hillary's low animal cunning is not to be underestimated.

I think the 2012 Nomination is Hillary's to lose, and that the GOP is going to be stupid (again) and run another milquetoast moderate and lose. In 2008 and 2012, I voted more for the VP candidate (Palin / Ryan) then for the POTUS Candidate (McCain / Romney) and I have a feeling the GOP is going to shoot itself in the foot and nominate Chris Christie.

My preference is still mostly undecided amongst the Not-Christies -- I could support Cruz, Rand Paul, Rick Perry, Mitch Daniels, Scott Walker...

I don't think the Vichy GOP is stupid, so much as confessing (by nominating Christie or Jeb Bush) that all of the hoopla about tradition and the Constitution amount to baby ducks farting under water.
I halfway wonder if the reason why Boehner hasn't gone after the IRS hammer and tongs is that the IRS was doing the bidding of the Vichy GOP as much as BHO.

Perhaps not stupid, but I would argue that by and large they're pretty spineless. Boehner doesn't really want to force an investigation because any criticism of any minority for any reason at all is automatically "rayciss", and to truly investigate Obama, Holder, etc., well... they've got to be ready for the onslaught of articles from the NY Times and catcalls from idiots like Al Sharpton - and quite frankly, I don't think they have the stomach for it.

The Vichy GOP, to my eyes, has Battered Wives Syndrome. They think... THIS time, no really, THIS time the reporters will love me. (See McCain, John)

Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, on the other hand... seem to have intact spines.

Here in Texas Steve Stockman's got John Cornyn very worried. I'm voting for Stockman, Cornyn does a decent job of sounding like a conservative until it's time to act and then he folds like a cheap suit.

Cornyn's running ads that make it sound like he's "standing up to Obama every day" -- REALLY, JOHN? WHERE WERE YOU WHEN TED CRUZ FILIBUSTERED?

Oh, right, you were off chortling to yourself about McCain's "wacko birds" comment. Enjoy your retirement from public office, Cornyn.

I think they're more subtly in league with the Democrats than "Battered Wives Syndrome". Think of our government as single-party, with "liberal" and "conservative" wings, and much of the behavior comes into focus.
