I've been thinking about going back to blond but all the hair dyes say do not use on previously coloured hair, including the pre-lighteners (including the one I just bought again from Schwarzkopf and I didn't see the don't use on previously coloured hair clause until I got it home). It's now three months since the last dyeing. Is it safe to lighten it? What happens when you try and lighten dyed hair? Any advice would be appreciated.
