Okay, so there's a bunch of talk going around about boycotts, and about boycotting boycotts. The people that want to boycott the boycott feel that they should have no say in slashdot. This is just stupid. Slashdot would be nowhere without the users.

It makes me wonder whether Malda keeps stats on who submit stories. Is it the people that comment on the stories? Is it the people that just read the front page and click links? I would think that it is the people that take the time to comment on the articles.

Maybe we should organize another kind of boycott. No one submit any stories during the week April 21-27. See what happens to slashdot at that point. I would wager about mid week, that the ad impressions would go way down.

Also, what is the point of the big ads? Malda seems to think that most of the sites readers never read the comments. If they don't read comments, they don't see the big ads. That means that slashdot is losing a ton of big ad impressions. Is Malda really this stupid?
