MonTemplar's Journal: Dude, where's my comments?

Posted a few comments on this Ask Slashdot article yesterday. Come back, and they've disappeared. They've not been deleted - I can still access them, from the recent comments area of my profile - and they've not been downmodded either. Not a Beta issue, as I'm not currently on it.

I've noticed something similar, I submit an article and it almost immediately disappears from the recent listings ..

Isn't this in a FAQ somewhere?

If it isn't in a FAQ, it should be -- I see comments and journal posts about this on a weekly basis.

It all boils down to how you have your viewing prefs set -- the comments are still there; you just don't see them in your current config. Log out and view as Anonymous at -1, and you'll see all the comments.

Personally, I use all those settings to ignore all the comments I don't want to have to wade through in the first place.

Well, my view options are set to Raw & Uncut (-1), so in theory I should see all the comments. In theory.

I've started getting "this resource is no longer valid" warnings when I post stuff here. Coincidence?
