Come get your plagiarism (1)

Was the entire bit plagiarized from the Onion, or just the photos? They are usually at least funny, but everyone goes through a dry spell from time to time.

Well, if it's an outburst of Bidenism, then you should be able to come up with a source URL using any substantial piece of text from it as Google search criteria, should you not?
The only thing that came from The Onion is the four face pictures, which link back to The Onion itself.

Was the entire bit plagiarized from the Onion, or just the photos?

Does phrasing an accusation, say, that you're into child porn, as a question somehow render it less than a full accusation?

Oh, wait: your comment title does explicitly accuse me of plagiarism. I wrote every word of it myself, you liar.

Oh, wait: your comment title does explicitly accuse me of plagiarism. I wrote every word of it myself, you liar.

The bit includes the pictures, however. And the pictures you stole from the Onion without giving credit. It does not matter that you display them by linking to them on the Onion, as your bit displays them without stating where they came from.

In other words, you committed an act of plagiarism because what you wrote displays those pictures as if they are your own work. You could just give credit for them with a byline underneath the picture, but theft of such things seems to be widely endorsed by your party anyways so I would not expect you to do such a thing.

Aww, I'm honored! You edited your blog to direct people to look at me and call me names!

We could try to catalyze discussion here, but apparently some people find it much more enjoyable to encourage anger. But obviously the political movement you so feverishly support is all about being mature and loving, right?

Encourage anger, encourage truth: I would not accuse you of viewing this discussion honestly.

Encourage anger, encourage truth

Really? I have never seen a time when an angry conservative has suddenly started spouting the truth. Angry conservatives just dig in and keep lying and spouting mantras, as we've seen you and numerous others do here.

I've seen more truth inspired by a "kick me" sign.

I don't believe you.

Then show me an example. When did a lying conservative, in anger, start spouting the truth rather than repeating his lies? I certainly haven't seen it happen on slashdot or anywhere else to the best of my memory, but that doesn't mean it has never happened across all of time and space.

Anyone with half-a-brain reading Smitty's post can easily discover that the pictures were taken from The Onion.

You see, D_R, there's this new invention called 'the mouse' that does many incredibly useful things. When you pass it over a photo, it will often tell you where a picture came from - it's source.

Smitty gave proper attribution, in compliance with understood protocols, and, therefore, your accusations are totally without merit. They also confirm for us that you are a first-class dimwit.

Cordially...

Thanks, Bob. Also, I never exactly claimed the work as my own prior to the update, though I admitted authorship in the comments.

Has anybody pointed out anything that is incorrect in any of his works? Or we just disparaging real challenges to the "status quo" that conflict with your preconceptions?

We really did drown all the women (1)

smitty_one_each (243267) | about 4 months ago | (#46489203)

It is possible, reading standard histories, to forget half the population of the country. The explorers were men, the landholders and merchants men, the political leaders men, the military figures men. The very invisibility of women, the overlooking of women, is a sign of their submerged status.

And you have evidence that this is incorrect?

A 'meta for' is a gift to Simi Le.

Had we submerged all our women
Unless they were mermaid-ees
Our end would be a given
And our land gone to Hades.
