Being a gear head is so American, it probably makes you a raaaaacist.
In a way, of course. The way I mean is like that way that some people find big giant SUVs to be rich white soccer momish, yet the majority of them I see on the road, especially the largest ones, are driven by "people of color." Same with an old MOPAR. I learned how to adjust the carb, how to fix the dents, how to strip and prime it, and most everything else I needed to learn for that car from old black dudes at the hobby shop. One of those guys has a really cool 1970(?) Challenger with period correct NA
