    It wouldn't be the first time something started being covered on Slashdot because it was in the news.

    The story of Moore's latest film does tie into some other themes that Taco and the other editors cover from time to time such as media consolidation and the behavior of the large media companies.

    In any case Slashdot is about whatever the editors choose to post about, no more, no less. If you don't like it start your own site. (freedom of the press belongs to those who own one)

      Huh? Did you see the movie? I haven't but no reviews I've read have mentioned media companies or their consolidation were prominent in the film. It's a single minded anti-Bush screed and even Moore admits as much. That's quite a stretch there to make this relevant to slashdot in any way.

        I wasn't refering to the content of the movie but the contriversy regarding Disney's decision not to distribute it. That I think does have something to do with media companies (if nothing else than to continue the "Disney
