Those of you who have been worried about outsourcing and other unsavory aspects of free trade may have noticed that moderators on Slashdot are overwhelmingly in favor of free trade and outsourcing. If you have posted anti-free trade comments or posted against outsourcing, you yourself may have even been modded dowm for speaking your opinion. Thus, Slashdot is becoming a forum for the propagation of pro-outsourcing, pro-globalization propaganda. If you want to do something about it, we need to act together. One possible way to counteract the pro-outsourcing moderator goon squads on slashdot, is to join in force to counter-moderate. By counter-moderating, we may be able to balance out the pro-outsourcing, pro-globalization propaganda. I favour free trade, but I think that he's saying that slashdotters are not looking at the intrinsic quality of the post, but rather it's bias in order to moderate it.

This isn't news on slashdot, but I fear that cryophan's fix would be worse than indiscriminate, in that the best arguments would be sure to attract the strongest 'counter'-moderation. Besides, there is a natural emotional bias to see posts that one agrees with to be better written than they are, and indeed to see a post that one disagrees w
