I think it is OUTRAGEOUS that valid and thoughtful posts such as this one (copied and pasted in full below) are modded as troll. Unbelievable! Something is wrong with the slashdot moderation system when this post get the same fucking rating as a GNAA post or a "BSD is dead" post. WTF is going on!?

We need to do something about this, people. Political censorship like this on the world's largest tech forum cannot be tolerated.

Now, we have nothing to stop those invaders with! I guess we lose, might as well get out the black boot polish and rags and beg for some pennies from the nice soldier guys, when they get done with our wives and daughters that is. In the mean time I'll get back to whittling a wooden leg for one of my kids who was unfortunately a "collateral damage" statistic. I hope the new dictator the soldiers appoint to be our ruler will be better than the last one they appointed 10 years ago. You go right along with the top-down memes that say it is OK to stifle and discourage and marginalize strongly felt political opinions. That way the top of the heirarchy can continue to have their way with the rest of us.

I see you becoming a great metamod. I try not to touch any politically bent moderations one way or another. If a political opinion pisses someone off, its still an opinion and one should respect it whether they agree with it or not. I've written on this subject in my journal after seeing simliarly biased modbombings but without specifics.
