Gmail invites. There are many lying around elsewhere. However, I'll give 'em out based on invites.

UPDATE: This is for friends only. At least right now.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd like to get an invite.

Let me know if there is any info I need to give you too.

Sure! I can send it to you via first/last name email. Or, you can just IM me.

Thanks!

I haven't really felt like Gmail was a huge geek status symbol... I always thought having my own domain was. :)

But I will take you up on that offer - I like the way it's invite-only to keep it relatively safe from spammers.

If you need an email address to send it to, you can use <gmail (at) mskf.org>.

Thanks. :)

Same here. :)

For me the fun is giving out the addresses.:-P

Thanks - got it and signed up (I think) - except that the server has been telling me:
Server Error

Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We're sorry for the inconvenience.
The signup seemed to freak out at the end (I think it was trying to sign me in for the first time), and I don't know if it was because the server was down or the process itself went whack.

Can you get in at the moment?

Yeah, i can. Perhaps it's a cookies thing?

Weird... I just deleted the only Google cookie I could find, and then Gmail logged me right in without prompting me to enter anything.
And I hadn't checked the "remember me for two weeks" box, either.

Oh well, looks like it works now.
Thanks again. :)

If Chacham runs out of invites... (1)

turg (19864) | more than 10 years ago | (#9484872)

I have an absurd number of invites to give away. I don't care if you're my friend or foe or anything.

I wonder if they track associations.

I've wondered the same thing. I'm actually toying with getting a second account with a goofy nickname, because I still have identity paranoia issues...
