Chacham's Journal: Gmail Requests (Friends Only)

Gmail invites. There are many lying around elsewhere. However, I'll give 'em out based on invites.

UPDATE: This is for friends only. At least right now.

I haven't really felt like Gmail was a huge geek status symbol... I always thought having my own domain was. :)

But I will take you up on that offer - I like the way it's invite-only to keep it relatively safe from spammers.

Thanks - got it and signed up (I think) - except that the server has been telling me:

Server Error

Gmail is temporarily unavailable. Cross your fingers and try again in a few minutes. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

The signup seemed to freak out at the end (I think it was trying to sign me in for the first time), and I don't know if it was because the server was down or the process itself went whack.

Can you get in at the moment?

Weird... I just deleted the only Google cookie I could find, and then Gmail logged me right in without prompting me to enter anything.
And I hadn't checked the "remember me for two weeks" box, either.

Oh well, looks like it works now.

I've wondered the same thing. I'm actually toying with getting a second account with a goofy nickname, because I still have identity paranoia issues...
