Journal Teddy Beartuzzi's Journal: What the hell is the name of this song? 4
For years now, I've been trying to find this song that I heard on the radio. I think it was at least 10 years ago, but I'm unsure about that. I've looked on google, but all I can find are a few other folks in the same situation, trying to find the same song.
It was a jaunty fast paced Christmas tune, sung by a Christmas turkey, excited because he'd been "invited" to dinner. I remember a few lines:
Oh, I've been invited for Christmas,
As a turkey I am blessed.
I've heard that turkeys make good gravy,
So I'm going to offer to cook.
Then there's a slow stuttering part:
And what's Uncle Max...
Going to do with that axe?
Any help with this would be appreciated, songwriter, performer, name of the tune, where to find it, etc.
Probably not (Score:2)
Christmas Turkey Blues by The Arrogant Worms

There may not even have been any background music, it may have perhaps just been a comedy skit kind of thing.

I've searched Google long and hard, never found a thing. Closest I can find is some folks doing exactly the same thing [google.ca]
It's probably some obscure song on somebody's comedy album, and it just never made it big like "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" did, etc.
Thanks for all your help.
