Xhad's Journal: Stopping Orkut Community Spam

I, like many Orkut members, am getting pissed off at the massive amounts of spams sent to the larger communities because the stupid owners won't set mass messages to "Moderators Only". So, I came up with an idea to basically harass the community owners into fixing this problem. Feel free to copy/paste the following into any community you belong to plagued by spam.

Subject: Stopping Community Spam

Yes, I know you can turn off community messages in your profile, but I refuse to cause the possibility of not receiving messages I want from my more important communities because some other community owners can't be bothered to set community messages to "Moderators Only".

• Step 1: Post this message in the offending community if it doesn't already exist.
• Step 2: Copy/Paste the link to this message.
• Step 3: Forward the spam to the community owner with a link to this message to explain what you're doing.

Basically, in communities without much spam, or where the spam isn't really bothering anyone, this isn't going to do anything. However, in communities where spam is rampant and pissing people off, it essentially makes the owner's Inbox unusable until s/he fixes the community settings.
