Enders Game: The Movie

Movies 6

After years and years of contemplating and rumors about an Enders Game movie, it appears that Enders Game, the movie, has a director and studio. The director is Wolfgang Peterson (Enemy Mine, OutBreak, Air Force One), and the studio is Warner Brothers. Looks like Clark will write the first draft of the script.
Addendum: Rejected... *shrug*After years and years of contemplating and rumors about an Enders Game movie, it appears that Enders Game, the movie, has a director and studio. I am so happy. I just finished reading 'Shadow of the Hedgemon'. I only hope they don't mess it up too bad...

Did you like "Shawdow of the Hedgemon"? I am a big fan of Card's, and I love how he sneaks Portuguese into everything, but I thought that the book seemed like it was really drawn out for what was accomplished in it. Of course, that won't stop me from reading the next two.

It was a slow start, but in the end I did like the book. I didn't love it, however. It does give some foreshadowing of what is to come in the next books. With that in mind, the book was ok.

Card lived in my hometown for a while. I remember reading the Alvin Maker series by the Wabash river in West Lafayette. Thinking of the books makes me want to go home.

How long does the average movie take to finish once it has reached this stage?

I wouldn't hold your breath... (1)

I'd say maybe 2004-2005 at the earliest...

How long...

Men of Honor was started 1997, developed for two years, shot in 1999, finally to be released on Veteran's day of 2000.

This is typical - about two years for dev, then a single year for prep--shoot--post.
