Actually, this whole IP banned thing is a joke. I've been ip banned myself in the past, and in reality it doesn't matter what your IP really is. It is your account which is banned, not your IP.
You will find out that if you use a non-banned account from your current IP (allegedly banned) it will work fine.
You will also realise that if you configure your http client to use a proxy on a totally different IP address, your account will remain banned and you still cannot post. BTW a good source of public (open) proxies is antiproxy.com [antiproxy.com] (with mad propz to on by [slashdot.org] for pointing this out).
