As much as I am morbidly attracted to reading Slashdot every day, LiveJournal has much better knitting and thread crochet communities.

I remember discussions of connections between music and math ability. I am also thinking there is one between programming and knitting and crochet doily patterns. Why doilies? Life long fascination with polar coordinates?
