Here's some funnies brought to you by Halflife 2, a new mod, and the fantastic physics engine. I can't wait to fire up HL2 and work on some of this.

Got a late XMas present. Metroid Prime: 2. Been so busy lately, I've hardly had time to really play it much, but its as good as the first from what I have played (plus you already start with the varia suit, morph ball, missiles, and bombs!).

I get a telescope for Christmas, right. What happens? Its been cloudy ever since. And its raining or mostly cloudy until next wednesday (possibly longer, cause I can't find a good extended forcast). Blargh!

Football: I only fear the Chargers right now. Denver isn't playing well enough. The Colts can't produce THAT much offense against the Steelers in Heinz. The Pats are still a fear, but not as much as San Diego. The Iggles won't get past the NFC Championship game (if they get that far). You can't lose your last two games. Reid shoulda put in starters for at least a quarter. It'll be a month since they've played a game when they play their next game. Besides, the whole NFC looks like crap. Doesn't matter who makes it to the big game. The AFC will trounce the NFC (well, maybe Eagles vs Colts would be nothing but offense and last possession wins).

Well, I don't have anymore vested interest in college football (Auburn should had a chance at #1 IMHO), and Cincinnati just got trashed by Illinois in basketball.

Metroid Prime 2:

I finally cracked my copy this weekend and although its fun so far I'm kindof annoyed that they are stuck in a rut.

So far its very similar to Prime 1. I know there are some subtle differences, but I mean comeon, how many times are we going to start out with full uberness only to be hit by something that deactivates all our cool toys so we have to go find them again?

I didn't much like Metroid Prime 2(didn't not like it, just had a kind of eh feeling towards it) until the first "post-temple level" or so... but after that it got good. Very good(just after the dark suit and first energy controller).

Didn't you say the same thing when the steelers spanked the eagles offensively and showed them what a real defense is like?

The Steelers D is tops in all categories worth mentioning. Total yards, total score, rushing, etc...

Now, Indianapolis, on the other hand, have been able to successfully tear apart defenses pretty easily. Even tough defenses. I wouldn't hope on your defense if the Colts came to Jacksonville to play Philly (its one thing to deal with Indy in the cold weather of PA... its another in

I'm just saying, you shouldn't diss the Birds D. It's not like they suck or anything. Don't judge them from one flat game at the end of 3 against AFC teams.
Reid doesn't play the AFC tough for whatever reason and they had a Conference game the following week.

And I'll worry about Tony Dungy in the playoffs when he gets past the first game.

Question. How in the hell did the Seahawks make it into the playoffs? Was it some sort of statistical error or a practical joke? They started out really strong and then fell apart towards the end. That seems to be a classic pattern here in Seattle. The Mariners bullpen is, or at least was, legendary for blowing the lead. The Sonics seem to be on a roll right now.
