Journal Saige's Journal: Another 700! 6

It's hard to believe it was only three weeks ago that I threw my first 700 series. And that I did it again last night, this time a 741.

246, 216, then a 279! I left a 10 pin in the seventh frame on a beautiful shot. Everything else was a strike. It's so frustrating to be so close to a perfect game, yet so far away. Oh well, I know I'll do it eventually. I just set a new personal high game and high series, so I can't really complain. I also took over high average in the league, which I'm enjoying a lot. :)

  • Come to Canada and try some 5-pin bowling. Then we'll see how good you are :-)
    • I do really want to try 5-pin, Candlepin, and Duckpin bowling sometime, see what they're like. Unfortunately, there's nothing nearby where I can try them out.

Scoring is pretty much like 10-pin except that there's 15 points instead of 10 (the centre pin is 5 points, the next two are 3 points each and the outside two are 2 points each) so a perfect score is 450.
  • I'm toasting a budweiser for ya right now!
  • ...but I used to bowl a lot. Not very well, but I liked to do it. Bonus for me was that my mom worked at a university, so I had access to a really cheap alley at the student union -- a game was 50 cents IIRC with her faculty card.

Then I came to Germany, and didn't bowl for some time. There are bowling alleys here, but they tend to be rather expensive.

Then for my 30th birthday, I decided to celebrate at a bowling alley. I invited a bunch of German friends, none of whom had bowled before. So I explained t

I've noticed several design suggestions in your code.
