User Journal 7

After a week's stay in the pysch ward of the local hospital, I've been released. Been staying at my sister's for a few days.

Diagnosis: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Mild Cognitive Disfunction.

Treatment: Depakote.

This shit is giving me bizarre dreams.

What is the PTSS from? (I though it was Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome, not a disorder, hmm, hehe. Disorders are normally chemical and inherent, syndromes are more psychological).

Remember that counseling + meds is 10x more effective then just meds! --- coming from experience. :-D

Hi, sorry for the delay in responding (I'm a fuckup) PTSD is what they are calling it, so I'll stick with that. ;) I had the most insanely fucked up childhood... abandonment, malnourishment, repeated sexual abuse, living on the street, mom dating a serial killer (I'm not shitting you), and much much more, topped off by getting hit by a truck when I was 18 and almost dying a couple times. A whole string of several years of insane things happening so that I was just in survival mode from age 11 on.

Hey, you beat me out! (not that hard to do, I am officaly a well adjusted crazy!)

I just spent a few years in therapy for 'violent tendencies' and such, LOL! And OCD, ADHD, a number of minor paranoyas (prozac for the bugs, yaah!) and all that. Standard fair stuff, I got away with a rather mild case of it all, only one legaly blind eye and all that. ^_^

Meds working out for ya? I had to have mine tweaked around for quite some time even after the right meds where mostly found, hehe. Eventualy got everything stablized though (yaah!)

well, my therapist talked me into taking 1/3 of my depakote dose today after my meltdown... but other than that, no. Gonna probably be a couple weeks or so before I get set up with a psychiatrist to fix up my meds.

Yah, first getting on the meds can be a pain, ugh.

Shit man, 'cording to the nice folks over at depakote.com the stuff doesn't have any side effects at all other then a bit of vomiting!

Heh, bull shit. They have three informational pamplets all with different numbers. ^_^

Yah, gotta get those meds working though. Course meds and therapy do the most amount of good. :-D

That and a good old fashion 'Don't give a shit" attitude towards life! Wooohooo! Applied apathy man, keeping me running for awhile* now!

*I'm not good with temporal stuff.
