Hot Grits Assault, Natalie Portman Remains Wary

samzenpus posted more than 4 years ago | from the life-imitates-slashdot dept.

Idle 10

44-year-old Carolyn Brown took some marriage advice from the trolls and poured hot grits on her boyfriend. The two had spent the day arguing about various things. Should they break up? Which was better, Emacs or Vi? Authorities arrested Mrs. Brown and have alerted a zombie-fighting Natalie Portman of a possible petrification attempt.

I'm not sure I like where this is going. Even I have my standards.

LOL. Living in the NOLA area, I thought I must have already opened a tab to WWL... nope, it was just the hot grits link...

that should teach us.... (1)

...yeah, that should teach us to only use lukewarm grits on Natalie Portman!

Hot grits again /.? (1)

webmistressrachel (903577) | more than 4 years ago | (#30433896)

Really, why do we find associating hot grits with Natalie Portman so funny here on /.?

I mean, the first few times I saw the meme, I sniggered a little bit at the thought of torturing Hollywood's unhealthy, skinny female role models, but now I just feel bad.

So come on /., what is it with Natalie Portman and the hot grit?? Somebody could at least post the original reference perhaps? Is it like the Tubgirl where there's some iconic history behind it? Natalie's mother woke her up with hot grit? What???

There's a story behind Tubgirl? I never bothered to ask since I avoid thinking about it at all costs...

Wow.... (1)

Unfortunately, yet not suprisingly this is the next town over from my hometown. Practically only seperated by the Wal-mart (Which was the highlight of the times, when it was built).

Oh Louisiana, sometimes I'm glad I'm not there anymore.

The officer quoted in the story my my DARE officer. Small world, the little town of Boutte, LA made it on /. What is the world coming to?

It sounds as though you feel the same way about your home state as I do mine: It's a great place to be from.
