Hotel Chain Offers Human Bed Warmers

samzenpus posted more than 4 years ago | from the what-about-the-toilet dept.

Idle 14

Have you ever wanted a stranger dressed in a special all-in-one sleeper suit to warm up your hotel bed before you go to sleep? If you answered yes, Holiday Inns in London and Manchester have the perfect program for you. For a limited time, guests can receive a free, five-minute bed warming session from the hotel's human bed warmers. Holiday Inn spokeswoman Jane Bednall says it's ''like having a giant hot water bottle in your bed." Best job ever.

That would be a "cuddle" buddy. Totally different thing conceptually and legally.

Do they have it? :)

I'm not sure a cuddle buddy would be illegal most places here in the U.S. It would not, however, pass muster with my wife.

I said "cuddle" buddy, not cuddle buddy.

Quite the opposite, I believe the hotel is about to be slashdotted.

Eco-friendly? (4, Funny)

If they say anything about generating heat with natural gas, get out of there quick.

You wouldn't happen to be Dutch, would you?

Is this a cover? (1)

This sounds like a good cover for a prostitution ring.

Hmmm 5 minutes eh? You've been on slashdot too long my friend.

Third-world comfort upgraded! (2, Funny)

Anonymous Coward | more than 4 years ago | (#30857680)

That's right, now when you stay in a danky unheated London "hotel" you don't have to freeze your arse off immediately.

Someone will warm your bed for the first few minutes, and if you stay huddled under the blanky it will be ok. Keep your knickers on.

In the morning you can go down to the fire and have a fresh brewed pot of tea. Then later after the lynching, you can go pluck a chicken and maybe a potato or two.

Much cheaper than providing in-room heating or centralized air. More eco-friendly "green" too.

I'd post under my name but I don't want to be denied later when I say "Please may I have some more" to the thing they call stew.

Can you pick who sleeps in your bed? (1)

Dana Larsen (1707334) | more than 4 years ago | (#30872760)

If you could pick from a selection of hot male and female models I suspect this would become an even more popular service. Just knowing a beautiful woman had been sleeping your bed would be nice for many people. Maybe you could pick their perfume too...
