Update Spammer (1, Offtopic)

ZombieBraintrust (1685608) | more than 2 years ago | (#40438685)

I funded this kickstarter and this guy sends out too many updates. He treats your inbox like twitter. I get an email daily from this project. Today I talked with so and so. We raised this much money. I should unsubscribe from the emails.

About that, how do you stop getting emails from Slashdot anyway? I can't seem to find the option anywhere.

And really, do we need more space cadets?

Is that copyright violation or patent violation? (4, Funny)

Scientology has a prior art claim on this, surely?

Hope they are better at making films than they are at selecting backgrounds for their blog. It's unreadable!

Blogs are like Spandex. Anyone CAN have them, but not everyone SHOULD.

I opened the site, wondered what the problem was, it was perfectly readable, then BAM, 2Meg, 2000x1000px big background image appears.

I'm on a 10 mbps line here and it takes 3 seconds to load that thing. It takes ~1s to load from Cache and I've got an SSD...

Hit Ctrl+A. White-on-blue is infinitely easier to read.

I do agree with you, though. I clicked the link, and immediately thought "Geocities." and had flashbacks to seizure-inducing animated gifs.

No homepage is complete without a hotlinked "under construction" animation.

That's because they didn't have you to help them design it! Remember, the most important office in Space Command is YOU!

Yeah it's not like we had a Space Command before or anything [af.mil]

Typeface fail (1)

Anonymous Coward | more than 2 years ago | (#40440433)

I'm out on the basis of the typeface / logotype of "Space Command" - horribly cheesy and lame - along with all of the other design elements shown.

You forgot to say "worst webpage ever" comicbook guy

As opposed to the real Space Command? (1)

whitroth (9367) | more than 2 years ago | (#40440479)

I'd wonder if the real life USAF Space Command knows about this, and might want words with him....

Exactly why would they want words with him? Space Command might be trademarked?

The US Air Force might prefer that people looking for them come to the right place? That no one mistakes a studio for the real thing? Governments tend to look down on that sort of thing....
