Egad, no more I tell thee... SuSe 9.2 anyone? (1)

In Korea, Gemran Language Versions Are Only For Old People...

Seriously though, SuSe is a .de founded linux distro with worldwide appeal, and there are many other talented linux paraphenalia being churned out of those clever Germans.

Translated SuSe 9.2 and MEPIS comparison [google.com]

I wanted animated to throw times a view of SimplyMEPIS

It might be easier to learn German and read the original...

Indeed, the Google German -> English translator does amusing things when confronted with the local dialect of Steiermark (where I live). But you're fine until you start speaking or writing English that sounds like the Google translation

Haben Sie Sturzhelme für Radfahrer? Ich muß das britische Konsulat anrufen.

The source? (2, Interesting)

Has anybody had trouble getting the source to simply mepis?

FSF Europe mailing list [fsfeurope.org] had a complaint about this recently.

I just thought I'd mention it; sometimes GPL responsibilities aren't fully understood; giving away GPL binaries for without charge free doesn't fulfil GPL requirements.

why "MEPIS" ? (0)

Anonymous Coward | more than 9 years ago | (#10980512)

Can anyone explain why they call it "MEPIS". The only Linux distro name stupider than this would be "Ubuntu"
