Climate change and the integrity of science

blau (759804) writes | more than 4 years ago

Science 2

blau (759804) writes "From an article in The Guardian commenting on an "Open letter: Climate change and the integrity of science" published in today's issue of Science magazine:

"A group of 255 of the world's top scientists today wrote an open letter aimed at restoring public faith in the integrity of climate science.

In a strongly worded condemnation of the recent escalation of political assaults on climatologists, the letter, published in the US Journal Science and signed by 11 Nobel laureates, attacks critics driven by "special interests or dogma" and "McCarthy-like" threats against researchers. It also attempts to set the record straight on the process of rigorous scientific research.""

The other side of that coin (-1, Troll)

How about you stop the "McCarthy-like attacks" on people who dare to poke even the tiniest of holes in your theory? Good, proper scientific breakthroughs only come when the data is held up to scrutiny. Not everyone who questions the science of "climate change" is a flat-earth creationist. No less an individual than Freeman Dyson has issues with the way the science is being handled, so why is everyone else following the flock?

Dare to criticize the AGW gospel, get modded down as a "troll", despite the fact that I have a background that allows me to better judge AGW than some on here (a degree in geology with a specialization in the Quaternary).
