An anonymous reader writes "The Guardian reports that researchers have found a hidden file on all iPhones, iPads, and any computers they synchronise to logging timestamped lattitude and longitude coordinates of the user, since June 2010. A tool is available on their website ( to check on your own. What on earth were Apple thinking?"

Tracking people's whereabouts is truly evil. Wait until the divorce lawyers start subpoenaing them for location data to support their clients.

The Apple fanboi's couldn't stop bitching about Google's wifi tracking while toting how superior Apple's ethics are. This is true Karmic retribution.
