What happened?"

Expiration (1)

Soulskill (1459) | more than 3 years ago | (#36332326)

The intent for the advertising opt-out was to reward the people who actively and positively contribute to the site -- accepted submissions and comments that get modded up. The opt-out has always had an expiration period, but we recently bumped that down to 30 days (not sure what it was before that). We're in the process of setting it up so that people who keep contributing can keep opting out, and that should be in and working for everybody by next week. Apologies for leaving you hanging during the interim.
